The Manga is a story based on the adventures of wild and swashbuckling pirate Monkey D. Luffy. Ever since the early days, it gathered fans worldwide. It took us through the search for One Piece, a treasure left by the previous Pirate King.

In a tweet posted on Wednesday, Oda announced he would be taking a month’s break from his regular publishing rate of one instalment every week in response to various demands, including the final part of the series that has been running for a long time.

He tweeted a handwritten note, “I’m Taking A Break,” about how he wants to travel to Africa to see the progress of a live-action one-piece movie. He also says he wants to be back to a 100% to start working on the final saga of One Piece.

“I would like to reorganize how the Manga is structured to complete the final saga as quickly as possible. So… I’m sorry; however, I’ll have a moment to get ready for the whole thing!”

“One Piece” first came out as Manga on the manga market in Japan in 1997. The anime came just 2 years after the first volume of manga.

In the years since this series has grown into a global cultural phenomenon. Oda has the Guinness World Record for “most copies of this comic by a single creator.”

In 2021, the 1,000th television series episode was released with particular screenings held in both countries: the United States and France -the second largest Manga and anime markets following Japan.

A live-action film adaptation from Netflix could be in the works, with some fans suggesting it could propel the series into the realm of global celebrity status similar to “Star The Force Awakens” and “Harry Potter.”

In the meantime, the creators of  “Berserk,” announced on Tuesday that the show would be relaunched following the death of the founder, Kentaro Miura, just more than a year earlier.

Miura’s close friend Kouji Mori continues the author’s work following discussions on what direction the book should take, publication house Hakusensha announced.

“I am only going to write episodes that Miura spoke with me on,” Mori said in the official statement.

“I will not elaborate on it and won’t write any episodes that I can’t recall well. The only things I’ll write are phrases and stories that Miura told me.”
