Tokyo Disneyland Ticket Prices Set to Increase Up to 10,900 Yen in October
Tokyo Disneyland announced that ticket prices will be increasing starting October 1, 2023. This is the first time in the park’s 40-year history that admission for adults will exceed 10,000 yen.
Adult Tickets to Cost Up to 10,900 Yen During Peak Times
The Tokyo Disney Resort operator Oriental Land shared that a six-tier variable pricing system will go into effect in October. One-day adult admission will range from 7,900 yen to 10,900 yen ($54 to $74), depending on the anticipated crowd levels and holidays.
The maximum price of 10,900 yen for a one-day adult ticket marks a 1,500 yen ($10) jump from the current peak price of 9,400 yen.
Current Prices in Effect Until September 30
Until September 30, 2023, one-day adult tickets at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea currently cost between 7,900 yen and 9,400 yen.
For visitors ages 12-17, the junior pass now ranges from 6,600 yen to 7,800 yen. These prices have been in place since variable pricing was introduced in March 2021.
Children’s Tickets Remain Unchanged
In contrast to adult and junior tickets, prices for young children will stay the same after October 1. The one-day passport for kids ages 4-11 will continue to cost 4,700 to 5,600 yen.
Keeping children’s prices steady allows families to continue making magical memories without increasing the financial burden.
Crowd Levels Dictate Variable Pricing
As part of the variable pricing system, ticket prices fluctuate based on anticipated attendance and demand. Weekends, holidays like Christmas and New Year’s, and school breaks typically draw bigger crowds and will have higher prices.
Visitors can check the Tokyo Disney Resort website up to three months in advance to view admission costs for specific dates. Planning ahead is key to snagging the best value.
Book Your Tokyo Disneyland Trip Soon
With the upcoming price hike, now is the optimal time to book a visit to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. Hotel and flight prices also tend to increase as demand rises ahead of major holidays.
Travelers aiming to experience Tokyo’s magical Disney parks at the lowest cost should plan trips before October 1, 2023. Booking in September maximizes savings on both theme park tickets and travel.
