All You Can Eat Frozen Food Restaurant “Chin! Suru” Becomes Famous In Akihabara

Tokyo has seen several strange eateries open up over the years. However, this most recent one in the city’s otaku district of Akihabara is unquestionably the most peculiar among all of them.

It is because there is only frozen food on the menu, and customers can help themselves to as many items as they want from the restaurant’s freezers.

How will customers consume frozen food? The name of the establishment, “Chin! Suru Restaurant,” gives some insight as to the solution. When the verb “suru” (“to do”) is added to the onomatopoeic term “chin,” which represents the sound a microwave produces when food has finished heating, the phrase “Chin! Suru” is used to describe the process of heating anything in a microwave.
It is not simply a creative way to introduce diners to a diversity of frozen meals they might not have tasted otherwise, but also a brilliant approach to introduce them to several microwave models so they can use them and see for themselves how they operate.

The video up top demonstrates that guests can also enjoy endless ice cream in addition to infinite frozen cuisine. There are two menu options available to diners: a lunchtime plans those costs 1,500 yen ($10.26) per adult for 90 minutes between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Furthermore, a dinnertime package available for 2,500 yen per person for 120 minutes between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Children under the age of elementary school dine for free, junior and senior high school students pay half-adult pricing and additional (unfrozen) alcohol for adults and soft drinks are offered with prices starting at 150 yen.

You’ll need to act quickly to take advantage of this fantastic price because the Chin! Suru Restaurant is only open from 8 to 23 October. Here’s hoping it finds a permanent home in Tokyo in the future because it’s a terrific opportunity to sample Japanese frozen delicacies that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to enjoy when visiting Japan.
