THIS LEGO CHERRY BLOSSOM TREE IN JAPAN JUST BROKE THE WORLD RECORD

Every spring, tourists journey to Japan to view the incredible cherry blossom season. Surely you’ve seen the photos.

But this unusual ode to the blossoms is perhaps the rarest species of all! Created to celebrate the one year anniversary of LEGOLAND Japan, this artificial tree stands 14 feet tall and 5 feet wide. And it just took home the Guinness World Record for the “largest LEGO brick cherry blossom tree.”

The tree was designed in the Czech Republic, taking over 6,500 hours to complete. After its assembly, the award-winning sculpture was shipped to Japan where it is now on display.
